As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for embracing all aspects of development and business process design for our NAV platform Inventory management and tracking system. You will work on projects to further develop the core functionality offered by the platform and take leadership of key functional development tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The Senior Developer role reports directly to the Product Manager and Head of Development within the Ingenica Team and is responsible for technical design, development, and deployment of Ingenica products which are mainly based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Responsible for:

  • Business Analysis and Business Process Design – identifying the best solution for our healthcare focussed products by utilising your knowledge of the system, architecture, and coding.
  • Developing innovative healthcare focussed solutions that meet our quality standards.
  • Producing clear and accurate Technical Design Documents as part of our design process.
  • Delivering internal and external development projects.
  • Implementation services for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Atticus where necessary.
  • Contributing to Ingenica’s Functional Design Documents (where relevant) as part of our design process.
  • Contributing to deployment as part of our release management process.
  • Engaging with clients and prospective clients to provide technical assistance, audit assessments and performance reviews where appropriate and required.
  • Providing assistance to our Support Desk (2nd line support) as and when required.
  • Supporting and enhancing the standards requested by Ingenica within our development lifecycle.
  • Improving and enhancing our current product portfolio by contributing to the Product Review Board and product teams.

Essential Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • A computer science degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • Significant senior level experience as a software developer specifically working with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (2009 onwards).
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2002 onwards).
  • Experience with at least one other development language such as C++, C#, Visual Basic, HTML
  • Working understanding of XML
  • Advanced/Expert in Microsoft Office products
  • Desirable Education, Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Experience in an IT industry, public sector, mid-market or enterprise ERP.

Note : this role may be office or home based depending on the individual; in either case, there will be some travel to customer sites and other offices as required.
